Posted by OptoEdit in Optotraffic | Safety | Schools | Speed Camera

April 9:  Optotraffic is currently deploying the nation’s most extensive portable speed camera system.  Located in Prince George’s County, Maryland, the rollout is scheduled over a 12 month period.  When complete, it will include 72 portable speed camera units protecting several hundred schools in the County.  The end of March marked the half-way mark in deployment and 36 cameras were up and operating.  To date, they have protected students at more than 70 schools.
